URL:Mal Popup for process C:\Windows\SysWOW64\rundll32.exe

Hi, I just got the following popup warning from avast:

Object: http://download.newnext.me/spark.bin?rnd=1409822566
Infection: URL:Mal
Process: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\rundll32.exe

The alarm popped up about 50 times during the last half our, than suddenly stopped. I suppose it is a false positive; about 12 hours ago everything was all right; last full scan was last Friday and I did not download anything since then.

Other people in the forum seem to post the same problem.

There was potentially active malware detected by AVG: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/website-safety-reports/domain/newnext.me/

It is still there

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

Almost twenty–four hours later, and still no popups.

Thanks again for your quick helf

Mobogenie is defeated, I’d say. Or to quote Master Yoda: “At an end your rule is, and not short enought it was!” 8)
