URL:Mal - unable to fully remove using suggested tools

I’ve been scanning the web for various tools for removing a URL:Mal infection - ADWCleaner, JRT, Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro - but however often I use these I’m still getting threat pop ups from Avast.

I’ve pretty much stripped Chrome down to its factory settings, including disabling Java and have attached logs from these, FRST and aswMBR. I would attach the MBAM log but as it’s an XML file I’m not able to do so.

Can you help please? Many thanks in advance.

Let me know if this stops it

CAUTION : This fix is only valid for this specific machine, using it on another may break your computer

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

CreateRestorePoint: EmptyTemp: CMD: bitsadmin /reset /allusers

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe

Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

No joy I’m afraid, another pop up as soon as I re-opened Chrome. Fixlog attached.

OK I wish you had it was only chrome… The only way to remove this is to totally uninstall chrome and then re-install after a reboot

Will give that a go. I’ll let you know.

Thanks.

Have reinstalled Chrome and so far so good. Thanks for your help so far - I’ll update this again in a few days to confirm.
