url:mal

Hi

Avast Network Shield has started giving me the occasional url:mal warning whilst using Chrome. but Quick and Full scans report no problems.

I have attached the suggested logs and would be very grateful for any help …

Many thanks

Jon

Could you confirm that it is only in Chrome ? If so then run Chrome in the incognito mode and let me know if they cease

Incognito mode http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95464

Hi and thanks for replying.

This has been happening in Firefox as well.

It doesn’t seem to happen in incognito mode in Chrome or private browsing mode in Firefox but results are somewhat inconsistent in normal mode.

Here is an obfuscated url which sometimes throws up the url:mal warning and sometimes doesn’t !

Thanks again

Jon

It looks as though that web site is infected do you visit that site normally ?

It is one of the sub pages by the look of it

No, it’s not a site I normally visit, it just came up in a search. Are you saying then that my computer is not actually infected but the site is ?

Thanks again

Jon

That is my reading from the logs ;D

Thanks very much for your help

I am also experiencing this issue, but it occurs when I am connected. No browser launched. Ran scans using avast, malwarebytes and spybot, all were clean.

Help!!! :-\
