USB modem software seen as a virus by avast 5.1 version

I use a GLO 3G PLUS 15.00.1.05.12.251 modem manufactured by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. At about 1700hr(GMT) when my avast virus definition updated, the software application on my modem was detected as a virus and moved to the virus chest. I am not the only subscriber(on GLO Mobile) with this same problem. Please what do i do because i’m unable to use my usb modem.

Could you upload the file from the chest as a false positive…

Open tha Avast GUI
Navigate to Maintenance tab
Select Virus chest
Right click the file and select send to labs
Mark it as a false positive

ya, It really works. I had a problem like you, Makinde. I sent it to virus lab. After a short time, everything is ok
