Using a remote sql server

I have our adnm setup on machine A. It uses the SQL 2000 server on machine B to host it’s db. Everything works fine except doing db backups from within avast. The error in the logfile states:

10/11/2006 11:43:38 AM 1160581418 SYSTEM 5040 Database command failed [CTaskSession::Backup, 80040E14]: User does not have permission to perform this action.

For the database backup path I specify c:\Howdy and I see that folder being created on machine A. But there is nothing in it.

Note 1: Machine A and B are in different domains with no trust established.
Note 2: Machine A’s C:\Howdy folder is set for everyone full access.

Hi again Greg, how have you been? It’s been a long time…

Could you please try creating folder C:\Howdy on machine B? Maybe the file doesn’t get created because the folder does not exist… (I belive the backup would get created on machine B, not A).

Thanks
Vlk
