I’ve been a long time AIS user, and I’m currently running the latest version, and I’m interested in purchasing SecureLine VPN to run on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit system.
[ol]- 1. I don’t have a cell phone or smartphone, due to my physical disability, so is it possible to run SecureLine VPN on my system so that I can secure all my email, browser, and Skype sessions, even though I don’t have a mobile phone?
If yes, is there a tutorial on how to configure the setup of SecureLine VPN so that it protects all of my Internet traffic?[/ol]
I’ve never had to set up a VPN before, however, I’m somewhat tech savvy, so if there’s a written or video tutorial, that would make it all that much easier for me.
Any answers and/or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks for the links to the information… they were quite useful.
I’ve downloaded and installed SecureLine VPN as a 3 day demo/license, and I’m pretty much satisfied with it, however, I do have a question regarding connecting to various SecureLine servers around the country/globe.
I have an ActionTec GT701D DSL modem and a Linksys EA6700 wireless router.
When I set the security level (firewall) for my DSL modem to “Medium and/or High”, SecureLine will not connect to any of the national or global servers. When I set the security level to “Low” there’s no problem connecting.
I was wondering if there’s some specific port or web service that I need to open/enable in order for it to connect?
Any assistance and/or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Well I doubt I can help as I use Secureline when connecting to “Unsecure” Public WIFI networks such as Internet Café and Airport so I have no encounters with routers/modems.
