Hi
Whenever I load up uTorrent I get an Oh Dear threat has been detected about the above. I cannot see anything in add/remove progs or on Chrome extensions.
Is this a false positive?
Thanks in advance

Here is the “shot” Can’t do the pop up bit but when I click the more details this is what I get. Or at least the link.
I am also having this issue all i get told by avast is it blocked utorrent.inspsearch.com/favicon.ico

I came on here to post about experiencing the very same issue, saw it was already posted, and decided to just monitor the thread instead of cluttering up the board with duplicate posts.
In between doing so, I manged to find out what was causing the issue.
In utorrent preferences choose Advanced > UI Extras > delete the entry “Infospace Search/hxxp://utorrent.inspsearch.com/search/web?q=” > click apply & ok
I don’t know exactly what caused it to show up in there, but its basically a browser hijacker, and thankfully hasn’t managed to install itself anywhere on my PC.
Hope this helps.
I came here for the same reason , that avast pop up really started to annoy me ( although it is a good thing it blocked this URL MAL).
I did what you suggest and it works for me so thanks for your support.
I also had a " search hxxp://mininova… "entry which I deleted also.
thx all
