Veeeeery nooby question: what to do with a virus?

Hi, I really like avast!, but recently mine found a Worm. It put it in the chest and I want to get rid of that virus completely (like deleting). However, when I click delete it from the chest, It asks “Do you want to delete it from Chest?” Like, this will only remove it from the chest but the virus will stay? I’m really confused!

Delete from chest and it is gone..

There is no rush do delete anything from the chest…the malware can do no harm when in there
When in chest you have the possibility to investigate and find out if this is a good detection or a False Positive
