Version 11 causing loss of network connection?

Installed new version yesterday and lost connection to the internet. Had to unplug modem and plug back in. Today lost connection twice. Event Viewer gives me a 1003 error “Your computer was not able to renew it’s address from the network(from the DHCP server) for the network card with network address etc” Could version 11 be causing this problem. I’ve never had it before. Thanks.

Modem connection - no router or other PCs connected

I’ve also had a daily wifi disconnect.
Always solved it by doing a troubleshoot:

That’s always fixed it but, seems to come back the next day.
I’ve now just tried changing the Power saving option:

I’ll see if that makes a difference.

Modem connection - no router
Many modems nowadays are also routers and firewall. ;)

If you connect through wifi, changing the channel may help.

I’m not on WiFi but does changing the power options from one option and back to the original one work because I don’t want to change my power options. And of course the question is why I should have to change my power options to have Avast! work correctly.

Thanks.

If, in my case, it’s the power option that causes the problem, then it’s not related to Avast at all.
That’s why I’m testing this before blaming Avast or anything else.

Okay. Just seems to me that if I haven’t had this issue until upgrading to 11 then 11 is the obvious–though not definite–culprit.
