version 12.1.2272 hinders wake up from STD (S4) on XP SP3

Hello.

I updated my avast suite 2 days ago to 12.1.2272 (formerly 12.1.2262; i suppose) on my windows XP (sorry, but I need it and have no new one yet). Now it slows down enormously, hinders network reconnection or even hindered successful wake up at all (no show of login) after suspend to disk state.
Is there a possibility to return to the former version (to test until a new version is available)?
Or is a “corrective” available?

Perform a repair of avast and see if it solves the problem.
If not perform a clean installation of avast and check again.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
