My good people, everything works well, however after a few seconds the bottom left part of avast system tray icon fades away. Any ideas ?

I don’t think it’s fading away, isn’t it just a blue dot indicating that something needs to be done I think.
That’s correct, it is a ‘notification’ alert

Easy “fix” would be installing the Zune theme for XP.
Ha, guess what Theme I’m using on XP Pro SP3
On my XP PRO SP3 rig, I use Windows Classic Modified Theme … I also use Webshots for my desktop background photo as opposed to using built in Windows Desktop Backgrounds
