So, everytime I boot my PC (Win 8.1) Windows Error Reporting Service kicks in… It started right after I updated to the newest Avast Free version, so there’s no doubt about the culprit here! At first there’s 2 Windows Error Reporting Service -processes (Taskmanager shows the Disk usage at 100% constantly), but after a while there’s I believe 20 or 30 of those processes!!! That phase don’t last as long as when there’s only 2 of those processes, but still… After that everything is normal again. All that uncanny thing lasts about 5 min… So, my question is: are there going to be an update soon that will adress this issue? It’s getting on my nerves!
Update to my problem. Now it’s 100% certain, that the culprit is Avast. I updated my virus definitions manually, and on the same second those Windows Error Reporting Services activated. Now there was actually 4 of those processes, but after a while many, many, many, many more. I hope this helps to narrow down that bug, so you guys at Avast can get rid of it! Hope there is going to be a update soon to fix it…
