I now have SiteAdvisor installed and I can view the Log without a problem so far.
The remnants problem is back!
I am going to put the SunbeltKPFHack=2 entry back in avast4.ini and reboot and be done with it!
I think it has to do with IE7Pro and its Mouse Gestures.
Man… it’s difficult to imagine which is the relationship between Kerio, IEPro, Mouse Gestures and avast… :
But against facts, no arguments…
So, at the end of day, it could have been SiteAdvisor, right?
I mean, when it was uninstalled, the problem did NOT happen. Correct?
Thanks
Vlk
hi guys !
I have the same problem I have the same version of avast, and I use Internet explorer 7 and IE7por and also SiteAdvisor.
I open the avast Log Viewer, but it doesn’t open until I kill the process of McAfee SiteAdvisor.
Are you using the avast official version or the beta one?
I’m not using Beta version, I have avast! versioin 4.8 Professional

I’ve asked because I think this problem is addressed in the latest beta… not so sure.
In the latest beta update, the “workaround” should be in place automatically when an installation of Site Advisor is detected (i.e. there should be no need to modify the ini file).
I think the real cause of this problem is IE7pro, because when I installed McAfee SiteAdvisor it was installed on both Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla fire fox 3.0.3.
so, when I open Mozilla I can open the log viewerw without any problem, but when Internet explorer 7 is opened I encounter the problem.
great that solved my problem : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=37609.msg315764#msg315764
