Virus and malware warnings keep popping up!

Hello, I have had avast for almost a year. However, lately it has been warning me of viruses and malware every other day. Today it informed me 4 times that a virus or malware had been detected. However, when I go to my chest nothing is in there. Can someone explain what might be happening with my computer. Also, is this a sign that I have a really bad infection on my pc? Thank you in advance for the information.

God Bless

P.S. I did a virus scan in safe mode and turned off my system restore today.

Hi Karmel83,

What are the names and locations of the files detected? (You can find this information in the avast! log.)

Try the usual free adware/spyware scanners.

Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

The viruses were called JS:Pdfka and JS:Obfuscated; they were both found in files that were on a particular website I visited. When I looked in the avast log they were listed under the warning file.

They were probably blocked by avast!'s Webshield before reaching your hard drive- so they won’t be in the Chest.

The malware are likely on the websites that you are going to Karmel83.
Best refrain from going to those sites until they have been fixed up.

It wouldn’t hurt to create another System Restore point now, if you haven’t done so already.
This will leave you with an additional option in case of any future problems.

Thank you for all your help!!! I will do the system restore point.

God Bless
