Virus bulletin April 2008

I am a recent convert to Avast! using 4.8 Home and was surprised to see Avast do very poorly on the April 08 Virus Bulletin test. Any explanation, plans to tighten the protection? They reported 19 missed wildlist viruses which is a big change from previous passes or fails by only 1 miss/false positive.
