Hi,
I have just completed full scan it could not fully complete because it found a potential virus in a file but when I try to put the corrupted file in the CHEST it will not do it.
Whatever I click there is no movement can anyone please advise.
Please see attachments.
Thank you
JR
corrupt is not virus…it is just a scan error report
avast will only take action on infected files…and it will also give those files detected a malware name
files that can not be scanned (avast will tell you why) are just that, no more no less, it does not mean they are infected
thank you for the info do you know anyway I can uncorrupt the files so a scan will work properly
put your mouse pointer on the vertical bar just in front of Severity and dragg sideways to display the full file path
post the full file path or screenshot of it here

Be aware that updating to JRE 7 U11 may not be enough protection.

If you don’t absolute need Java for a site, it’s better to disable it in all browsers.
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/disable_browser.xml
If, like me, you have both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Java installed, the Java icon in Window Control Panel is only for the 64 bit version. I had to run the javacpl.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin in order to disable it so it doesn’t show in Opera and Firefox. The 32 bit version also has the Update tab. The 64 bit JRE doesn’t have an Update tab, as so far it can’t be updated automatically. Without the 64 bit version installed, the Control Panel Java icon brings up the 32 bit interface.
It is also possible to disable the Java plugins in most browsers directly from their plugins page, excluding Internet Explorer.
thanks for that
