does anybody know when the next version of the Avast Virus Cleanner is coming out ??
Also I think Avast should change it’s default name because Sober.X end “aswclnr” based processes.

The avast! virus cleaner was just updated on October 17, 2005 that was almost 3 months ago. But it is only made to delete certain viruses. It is kinda like a smaller version of avast! Home. If you need more virus updates more often then I reccomed you get the complete avast! antivirus.

Clean viruses.
It’s not resident, it does not protect anything, just clean some kind of executable files that could be infected.

When I said delete certain viruses I would assume everyone would know that I ment clean because that is the programs perpose. When I said that it was kinda like a smaller version of avast! I didn’t mean a complere solution I just ment the basics of scanning and cleaning.
So, we mean the same: same things different words 8) 
does the avast team team know that microsoft also has a removal tool???
If avast wants to stand a chance they should had more detection .(I’m only talking about microsoft just as an example because symantec and macfee and panda also have some)
Sometimes some people believe Delete and Clean have two different meaning, clean is like returning the file to it’s orginal form and just remove the virus and delete is like removing the entire file altogether.

Who doesn’t? They’re in our Windows updates. ;D
Detecting a virus and inserting it into the virus signature file takes time and money. Making a repair program takes even longer. Awil put in many detections in it’s avast! antivirus and that’s probably the important key in my point of view.
