Virus Definitions Versions - Out Of Date

Recently has a OS crash on my Laptop  from
which Windows recovered using a restore point.

Since then I have been getting AVAST popup messages
when I restart or recover from SLEEP mode.

Your Virus definitions are out of date. Late attempt

.’

In Summary - Current Status I have the Big Green Tick
SECURED - Your System is Fully Proected.

However - Virus definition Version b[/b] 110614-1 UPDATE.

Click the UPDATE then

Download / Update starts then message

Engine & Defs : Already up to Date

            Current Version 110616-0

Program : Already up to date

            Current Version 6.0.1125

I’m using the paid version Internet Security 5.0
which I purchased September 2010 and it has been
working fine until recently.

Do you have any question…??

Try a repair of avast:
XP - Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

Vista, win7 - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

You may need to reboot after the repair. This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.

Thank You - DavidR

That seemed to have done the trick, now
showing the latest Virus Definitions Version
installed and have not had any more messages
after restart.

Once Again Thanks for the Advice.

No problem, glad I could help.
