virus detected

Hello

Avast tells me that there’s a virus on my computer and show me a window containing

Sign of “Win32:Trojan-gen. {Other}” has been found in “F:\Documents and Settings\Parents\Fichiers Internet temporaires\Content.IE5\ESJGSXQ6\srvrjc[1].exe” file

I don’t delete the file and when I look in IE temporary files, I don’t find the specified file.

At the moment of the alert, I was using firefox and feedreader is always looking for news.

How can I have more informations about the file ( Internet site, … ).

Sincerely.

You say you didn’t delete the file, what did you choose, move to chest is usually the recommended option ?
If you choose one of the options than that may have been why you couldn’t find it later.
It would be somewhat difficult to know what site it was because that isn’t recorded unless the Web Shield detected it. As you said you were using a feed reader, that wouldn’t be using the http protocol and as such not scanned by the web shield.

A google search for the file name and without the [1] don’t return any hits, which in itself is suspicious.

Hello

I’ve had the same message this evening again, but Feedreader was not running.

I’ve tried to repair it, but Avast told me that the file was in use. Same error when I tried to move it to quarantine.

Solution ==> delete the file.

I don’t know where the problem comes from.

Sincerely.
