virus doesn't get deleted

Hi
this is the name of the virus: Win32:MalOb-H [Cryp]

this is where avast finds it every time : ~\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0LAVKHQR\setup[1].exe

every time i start the computer, avast detects this virus. no point in pressing delete/repair as the message pops up another 2 times. then everything becomes alright, until i restart, when the whole process repeats. i haven’t had any other serious problems created by this virus so far.

I got this virus while browsing on mozilla, ver 3.0.13. it was from a site that had local bus routes info . OS is win XP, SP3

please tell me how to eleminate this virus completely and permanently

Try cleaning up temp files via disc cleanup utility in:

(1) Start Menu
(2) All Programs
(3) Accessories
(4) System Tools
(5) Disk Cleanup

then, download Malwarebytes Antimalware. Install it, update it and run a scan. Have it delete what it found.

Another recommend program is superantispyware that I also can recommend that you can run as well.
you can get the program at superantispyware.com.
i sow you where running Mozilla 3.0.13 there is a new version out with better speed and security 3.5.2. meaby you have upgrade to that already. just preform an update in Mozilla and the new version should be available.

good luck

SuperAntiSpyware isnt required. Malwarebytes can do the job as well more than him ;D

meaby so but it can sometimes detect thing MBAM doesn’t and vice versa.
