Virus found - Win32:Malware-gen

Hello!

I didn’t know that my anti-virus (Avast) found any viruses, so because i run a daily scan with it, i checked the quaratine and there was 2 of the same virus!

Win32:Malware-gen. I don’t what kind of virus it is, but i readed that it could be a backdoor, trojan or spyware. No matter what, i want to delete it.
I am scared of pressing ‘Delete’ because it could be agressive and start to harm my PC. I want to delete it safely

Please help!

Using the Virus Chest: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB21

Avast did it by them self.

I suggest to take it to the correct forum > https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=194892.0

Files in virus chest (quarantine) can not harm your computer Deleting files from virus chest does not make it harm your computer .... it is then gone

Thanks Podus,

I’ll delete the two Win32:Malware-gen viruses that is stored in quaratine :)…

Remember that the files are perfectly safe as long as they are in the virus chest.
Once removed (deleted) they can not be restored should it turn out to be a false positive.
(Without further analysis, it’s impossible to rule out that possibility.)
Your computer, your choice.

I’ll scan my computer over the night (A complete system scan) with MalwareBytes Pro and Avast Free.

Thank you!
