Virus from website--not on computer??

Hi, apparently there were signs of a trojan virus that Avast detected, so the recommended action was to disconnect from the net. so i did, and ran a virus scan, but nothing was detected.

The log viewer says under Warning: “Sign of Win32:Trojano-1270 [Trj] has been found in hxxp://www.alwaysupdatednews.com/install/aun_0015.exe.”

I did a file search for the exe file on my pc and found nothing.

Is there a trojan or not? what should i do? thanks for your attention on this.

You said it yourself. When you clicked on “Abbord connection”, avast didn’t allow you to connect to the infected file. So, you are clean, there is no virus on your PC

PS: Edit the above link from http:// to hxxp://, so that no-one clicks it by mistake

Hi,

Yes the file certainly looks like a downloader.

Here is what Jotti Scanner said about it.

Cheers

If you had to click on Abort Connection when the avast! pop-up appeard, that means one of avast! shields (Webshield) detect and block the virus from entering your PC. No worries, your PC is clean.

Thanks very much for your help. i’m so very glad.
