i am currently running Windows XP 64-Bit PRO Corporate and i just installed Avast! Antivirus 4.6 Home
during scan it detects all my files as the virus Win32
why does this happen???
What virus exactly is reported and what are the full filenames (at least a few examples)?
Also mention the location of the files please.
the virus name IS: Win32 (it dont say more)
a few infected files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe
C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe
C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Games\XIII\system\XIII.exe
Please submit the 2nd and 3rd one to JOTTI and let us know the result.
JKA, can you send to virus (at) avast.com all these files for analysis?
Maybe use a zip archive file with a password, informing the password and a link to this thread in the message body.
