Virus??

Please assist. When windows starts up an error is displayed “not a valid windows image DLL globa\systemroot\system32\UACuybiyoi.dll”. This error continues as each program is started. I am not fundi on this. But, I have searched the net for a few days now finding no luck on resolving the problem. I have included the HJT log:

Any assistance will be appreciated.

What happen if you unregister that dll?

Select START > RUN…
Enter the following command:

If you have Windows NT or 2000:
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE /u UACuybiyoi.dll
If you have Windows 95, 98 or ME:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\REGSVR32.EXE /u UACuybiyoi.dll
If you have Windows XP/Vista:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE /u UACuybiyoi.dll
If you have Windows XP/Vista x64:
C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\REGSVR32.EXE /u UACuybiyoi.dll

Press OK (or Enter).
A message saying that the file was successfully unregistered should appear…

Thanks for the reply.

Tried your suggestion - the following is displayed:

REGSVR32.EXE - Bad Image
“The application or DLL globalroot\systemroot\system32\UACuypbiyoi.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.”

The same message is displayed when opening any program. Eg:
ExCEL.EXE - Bad Image
“The application or DLL globalroot\systemroot\system32\UACuypbiyoi.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.”

Any other suggestions?

  2. Kaspersky
  3. BitDefender
  4. F-Secure
  5. Dr. Web
