Vista Updates Size!

Hi there,

The size of a fresh install of Vista 32 bit alone is 12.1 GB.

With drivers for Dell XPS increases to 13 GB.

Windows updates give an approx 350 MB of just Vista updates.

But after updates were installed the size on hard disk increased from 13 GB to 19 GB…strange approx 350 MB of updates took plus 6 GB of space on the hard disk?

Now 20.2 GB with Vista SP1.

Query:

  1. In Update history there are approx 150 updates, Status Successful or failed.

  2. In CP > Program & features> Installed Updates there are only 112 updates installed for Vista & Office 2007 (Windows & MS Products)…why this discrepancy?

  3. When I run windows update only 3 optional ones are there.

Size now with Vista Office 2007 & their SPs & updates is 23.1 GB.
