Hello all,
I think this is an easy question: I have visual studio 2003 (vs) running in MsWinXp Pro with avast home ed. When i open the visual studio (vs) solution with avatar resident protection active, visual studio stops responding, but I can open the visual studio solution if i stop on-access protection.
I searched for a way to disable avat protection for visual studio, but i didn’d find it.
can you help me to get a way to open vs files with avat protection?
Thanks everybody

There’s no “protection for Visual Studio” - avast! doesn’t handle it any different from other applications.
It’s rather strange - we are certainly running Visual Studio here together with avast! without any problems. Does it help if you only stop the Standard Shield provider, instead of stopping the whole on-access protection? Does the problem occur only with Visual Studio?
