In the avast 4x versions avast used to have VRDB, So why not in 5x and 6x versions?

Its use is rather immaterial now as it is dated and why it isn’t in the latest versions.
Its intention was to record information on certain files (generally those at risk of infection, .exe, etc.) so if they were infected a repair might be possible. As viruses progressed they would insert code into different areas of the file and it could also encrypt that insertion making it much more difficult to repair with this method.
VRDB won’t come back.
