Unfortunately the anti-thief is a vulnerability. If a thief steals your phone and pulled the sim but did not put my phone just turned on then he can do that in each year (to remove antitheft reflash, etc and no locks will not work either automatically or through sms so as not to whom to send sms if the sim is not inserted ((. developers had to do so without sim phone is automatically locked tezhe that are at finding another sim. And without this particular point in the program not as a thief can simply flash the phone without inserting sim.
Actually you do have a point here. There should be additional function called:
“Lock phone if no SIM is detected”. Since you can also block USB port you can effectively entirely lock the phone out so you can’t even re-flash it using multiloader and USB cable and you also don’t have to send any SMS to it.
You won’t be able to remotely unlock it but then again, why would you do that if the phone was stolen or lost and you don’t have it anymore.
Along with this feature, there should also be a timer kill switch. If SIM is removed and phone isn’t unlocked for X days (lets say X is 7 days), the phone would auto wipe itself after that time and remain locked. So no one can salvage data from it any time later, but you also don’t have to send any SMS to do this.
A fully automated process that doesn’t require remote SMS commands. Much more convenient and doesn’t strictly rely on SIM card, its credit or availability on the network.
Or maybe there is something special program that does not use the phone if not inserted Sim!? (it would be good if the thief turning on the phone without SIM saw the inscription INSERT SIM, and pecked at a bait fish)), at least in my Nokia 6230i SIM cards without nothing available except for SOS)
If you disable the automatic lock when you change SIM cards when you pulled out all the SIM cards will be as I have described (ie, no action. Settings and manager and, most importantly DEBUG is not blocked in spite of setting these options. If you enable the option in the settings of the lock when you change SIM cards the phone is locked and without SIM cards. But the fact is that if our goal is to compute the thief then we do not need to block the phone after a thief once wrote that the body was stolen and locked so that it would be wiser not to include auto-lock and allow the thief to insert Simka and he borrowed the body not knowing what not to end up with the necessary information.
Off course antitheft will react if SIM is pulled out the phone and on one is present as well as another foreign (not present on white list) is inserted. Even you will receive alert from device without SIM card inside if you turn in on. You should check the advanced settings - there are options to deny acces ADB and device settings, which means, that in case you are not very good in adev development you will not be able to connect via USB cable to the device.
