in your broken link that could be either http or https.
You are correct, a link that leads to a potential infected site should always be broken.
If you suspect a false positive, use the following,
The problem being in your link is that it also includes the www which still makes the link look/appear active (although it would generally fail) so you would have to modify that as I have done in your quoted text. You may also have wrapped that text in the URL tag, which would also try to make it active (which I also removed from the quoted text).
However, what is probably better (certainly in this case) would be to only have the domain name tenforums.com.
