As I discovered it yesterday, I want to warn you also against SuperAntispwyware. It contains SASENUM.SYS in the C:/PROGRAM FILES/SUPERANTISPYWARE and it is MALWARE/RISKWARE SPR/SUPERANTISPW.8 for at least two antivirus from which Antivir. Avast doesn’t detect anything. Have yourself a look at VIRUSTOTAL or Jotti’s online scan. >:(
POSSIBLY INFECTED/MALWARE (Note: this file has been scanned before. Therefore, this file’s scan results will not be stored in the database) (Note: this file was only classified as malware by scanners known to generate more false positives than the average scanner. Do not consider these results definately accurate. Also, because of this, results of this scan will not be recorded in the database.) . To take with ponderation. 8)
I submited the file to Karspersky on line scanner, and it’s clean.
You should rather go on Jotti’s page or better VIRUS TOTAL to upload your file and have multiple advise. The fileadvisor.bit9.com web site can also help. But you know, my head spins…at a certain given point…you don’t know who to trust! :
Final answer from Avira: (definitevely a false positive)

;D
So will you now be posting a similar warning avira topic and or uninstalling it because of a false positive.
There really has been a lot of hysterics going on about ST and now SAS if people don’t like programs just uninstall them.
There really has been a lot of hysterics going on about ST and now SAS if people don't like programs just uninstall them.what program next i wonder is gonna get the hysteria going again ??? ::) ;D spyware doctor spy sweeper spybot windows defender been lot of fp's going around lately-i have had my filled of them as soon of you know 8)
I won’t trust this… SUPERAntispyware is not infected. It’s a trustable program.
False positives as you’ve set before. Maybe it’s better have a little cautions before blaming against a very known product.
Don’t give up on SUPERAntispyware as it’s a very good prog. Stick with it and Avast and try to calm down :D. Instead of panic just come here and you will find plenty of people who can help figure what is going on.
The false positive was with another program antivir detecting something in SAS yet even after the admission by antivir that is was an FP the inflammatory title remains (it can only be changed by the originator of the topic), SAS gets a bad rap whilst antivir gets off scot free.
No inflammatory post about antivir being a piece of ? ? ? ? or WARNING!!! ANTIVIR
That’s why I’m a happy camper with Avast. On second system tried Avira and was like DavidR put it. Will not go there again.
Oh no…!!! Why is my venerable McAfee Site Advisor warning me in RED against http://www.superantispyware.com? Looks like I wasn’t totally wrong about these two antispywares, SuperAntispyware (what a name!!) and Spyware Terminator (another good “camouflage” name!!). I’m not alone in the universe!
Wrong classification (false positive) of McAfee Site Advisor…
These two programs are ok.
I can’t understand the selective distribution of information,
When we tested this site we found links to programshome.com, which we found to be a distributor of downloads some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs.
So nothing about superantispyware only links to other sites that have poor ratings.
Read the comments, especially the ones that are supposed Red three don’t mention superantispyware and the 4th mentions detection of SAS by BitDefender, not doubt the same or similar False positive you found with antivir. Also 17 downloads confirmed to be OK.
I really can’t understand this scratching about trying to find information that might support your original flawed inflammatory posting. If you don’t like the program uninstall it and be done with it.
Are you sure? :
Lately I’ve been using F-Secure provided free by my ISP on one PC, and there’s been at least one FP every day. Lookout for my impending tyrade against these “fiendish Finns”. ;D
ok i’v been using Superantispyware for over a year and a member at there forum http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php (you could go there and ask) and you got to be kidding if Superantispyware was so bad ok then why are highjackthis readers at PCWorlds magazines pcpitstops forum where thay read hjt logs http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?s=58a5d20e8e63249b869fefc220d95954&showforum=25 (you can go there and look) having people download and use it to clean there pc’s?
He could not be kidding but just doesn’t know, exactly, what is the difference of a false positive and a serious security company.
Sometimes you need to look a little deeper than just the surface.
There is nothing wrong with SUPERAntiSpyware

SUPERAntispyware is a good program. I got my first false positive from SAS yesterday. It detected udc.exe as malware.drivecleaner. udc.exe is filehippo’s update checker.
All programs get fp’s once in a while, its those that constantly get fp’s that turn me off. Ad-Aware SE only found fp’s, so I ditched it along with A- squared.
