The system I had before crapped on me. So I bought a new system with Vista. The problem is that Avast doesn’t seem to recognize the new system and has since cancelled my program. I have about 9 months remaining. Now, I’m unprotected. How can I get my program reinstalled.

I’m assuming you have Avast Home edition or “free” edition. If you still have the license number that you used with your old system, you can import the key into your new system.
Right-click the Avast Icon and click About avast!.. Then click the “License” button.
If you don’t have your license anymore, you’ll just have to register again.
