Why is the tray icon not spinning when I load web content? I have it activated.
I am using AdSubtract which is on port 4444.
WebShield scans HTTP traffic only into the redirected ports set into their configurations, not other ones.
Welcome to the forums, rcktexas. 
On the other hand, Standard Shield should catch anything bad upon attempt of execution should you download such onto your computer.

If you are a WinNT/2000/XP user then to have the AdSubtract traffic scanned go to:
Web Shield > Customize > Basic tab > Redirected HTTP port(s)
make the box so:
80, 4444
stop and restart the Web Shield.

The same but without the blank space… I’m not sure…
if the Internet Mail scanner is anything to go by avast doesn’t mind a space.
