web sheild blocking browser?

My kids have been on the computer, and now I cannot browse at all unless I terminate web sheild. There have been no updates, or new programs, and I use zone alarm pro. My son said that a window appeared, and before reading it, he denied access. (presumably this was ZAP finding some sort of suspicious behavior). However, I’ve checked all settings I can think of against a laptop with the same setup, and all settings are the same.

Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Being able to browse with web shield terminated tends to point to the firewall blocking web shield.

Look for ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Shield) in ZA’s program setings and ensure that it is allowed access.
