I have 2 questions about Web Sheild. 1. What is Web Sheild and what dose it do . 2. If I see in my log a (warning) that says (AAVM a error on a web page) dose that mean there is a virus on my computer or is there a hacker coming in. Sorry to ask these stupid questions but I am not computer literate like some people are. Thanks for the help.

Thank you Vlk for your help I see it Network Sheild but I did not see anything for (web Sheild) and I still don’t know what it dose or its functions are. and for question 2 it showed (AAVM error on web page (www.ctv.ca) after that I deleted it cause it got me worried. Thanks again

The program has a help. If you read the HELP section, you can find your response.

I think the page might be mixed up. The new features listed at

http://www.avast.com/eng/whats_new_in_avastve.html

is actually for Avast 4.5 not 4.6

Weird, I remember visiting this link yesterday and it had 4.6 info on it.

Thanks for your help but where is the (Help) plus beside my name the file is yellow and open and what dose that mean. I am very stupid when it comes to things any help would be apprecated Thanks again

  1. Windows Start > All Programs >avast! Anti-virus > Help
  2. Right click on the avast! icon > Program Settings > Help button.
  3. “C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ENGLISH\HELP\help.chm”
