Hi all, I am new here and have a question. I am using Avast Free Antivirus as antivirus software on my laptop. Last night it did an update. Then when it was done, it said (for the first time ever): ‘you are not protected’, reason: web shield is disabled. Then when I click ‘enable’, it works for a few seconds before it turns off again, and I get the ‘you are not protected’ message again. How is this possible?? I have not dared to go online. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve it?

You need to [RepairApp] via UI>Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting>[RepairApp]
After repair. Web Shield = OFF. Change to ON.
Do a Windows Restart to confirm it stays ON.
