Web Shield Pop-Up hxxp://lwdetyqhzh.ru/adbstyles.js?u=98021

Hello.
Since today every time i visit a new page i get this web-shield URL:Mal warning.
I’ve never visited the above url and didnt visit any fishy page either.

Hi I also have exactly the same thing happening, only started tonight and never been on this site. Used ADW, Malwarebytes, HitmanPro and Emisoft but it is still happening.

Hi bLamed,

And welcome to the forums.

Could you attach a screenshot of the avast! warning in your next reply?

Please see: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 Download and run the first three programs. Attach all three resulting logs in your next reply.

Once that is done, a certified malware removal expert will review your logs, and will assist you.

@ oatsiebfc,

You’ll need to start your own topic, as helping two users in the same thread will be confusing and add clutter. Please follow advice above and post your logs in your own new topic. As above, once that is done, help is forthcoming.

Hi mchain and thanks for the quick reply!
Here is the screenshot of the avast warning.
Also i got the malwarebytes and frst logs ready but aswmbr takes a lot more time and looks like its stuck scanning the same file. Is this normal?

Sometimes aswMBR.exe will not run normally depending on the current configuration of a system. I’d not worry overmuch about this as your malware expert has other, possibly more potent, tools at his disposal.

Thank you for attaching your logs. I’ve gone and notified an expert to come in and assist you.

[EDIT:] Removed extra post.

Do you have Ace stream/Magic player plugin at all?]

Been having the same problem as you and it seemed to go away once i uninstalled said plugin.

Hope this helps.

Kie

This was the fix that helped me end it. I uninstalled AceStream and all associated plugins and I haven’t had Avast pop-up since.

Careful what one installs on their systems. WOT is good for that, suggest installing that add-on in your browser(s) for information as to what site is safe to visit or what programs are safe to install. Free is not necessarily free anymore. They all can come with a hidden cost.

See my signature below. Glad for all to see this was resolved, but still suggest a check by a malware expert if needed.

Well i dont know about AceStream i do have it but i havent uninstalled it. However what i did uninstalled was adblock and that helped too, no more avast warnings. But i think i cant live without adblock so acestream will have go…

EDIT: after uninstalling AceStream the pop-ups gone. So its up to you, uninstall AceStream or AdBlocker if you have anyone of these

I can confirm that after uninstalling Acestream, the annoying web-shield pop-ups have stopped.
Thank you guys for your advice!

@bLamed do you require further assistance

@ essexboy
After a few hours at my pc the pop-up has disappeared.
If u believe there is anything else i can do, just in case, I’d be more than to happy to listen to your advice!

Nope apart from the ace thing it looks clean

Thank you everyone for helping me out! Cheers!
