Have you tried turning on PUP in Avast Settings->Active Protection->Web shield->Sensitivity ?

I have it on. With pup-on web shield only says that it stops it, but i can download it.
Pup -on inplemetion is not right

pup on in web shield is broken.(i have it enabled)
when it finds a pup file it says that the conection is aborted but i can still save the file in my hard drive.
All this with last mozilla firefox.
This is defenitelly a bug.

*Further test:
WEb scanning dont work wit mozilla
only works script scanning and block malware urls.

For exambe i download a rootkit with mozilla and web shield told me tha it was a filerep rootkit but i could qontinue to download it… Conncetion is not aborted…

Not sure how you are getting to download and save that file.
Avast pop up clearly identifies it as a PUP, and aborts the connection in Firefox 26. I haven’t been able to get the download to progress.

Perhaps you could post a detailed step by step process that you are using to get the file to download.

Perhaps, given that the problem is not seen by all, you should remove and clean up after the Avast installation, then do a fresh install.

I’ve had to do that in recent weeks, and now all is well.
