Does Avast block access to some web addresses?
There really is insufficient information to give a meaningful answer. By blocking what do you mean ?
If it does block, it is because it finds it suspect/malicious/infected, etc. and in which case you would get an Avast Alert.
Are you getting an Avast Alert ?
If so a screenshot of the alert window with the See details option selected.
The website is sportp2p which I have used successfully for a number of years. It now appears I cannot access it using Firefox browser.
If you can’t access it using Firefox, doesn’t clarify why or what is causing it.
Are you saying it doesn’t load or you are getting an Avast Alert window or an error page in firefox ?
A screenshot may help.
I use Firefox as my default browser and get an error when trying to connect. I’m in the UK, but the error reported is the host sportp2p is down.
Even setting an exception in Avast for the site returns the same Host error.
I don’t use a VPN which can at times sites block VPNs as they can’t check you are allowed to access the content.
Hi I can’t attach a screen shot of message when running sportp2p com in Firefox on here. The message reads…
Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at sportp2p com.
If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later
Check your internet connection
Check Firefox has permission to access the web(you might be connected but behind a firewall)
I am based in the UK
You can’t attach a screenshot, if the file is created or saved locally you can use windows explorer or another file management program to drag and drop your image into your post.
That is what I did for my screenshot.
I didn’t get the error message you described only the text in my image error code 521.
This is what error code 521 represents:
Error code 521, “Web server is down,” signifies that a website’s server is unable to connect with Cloudflare, the CDN (Content Delivery Network). Essentially, Cloudflare is trying to reach the website’s server, but the server is either offline or refusing the connection. This often happens when the server is experiencing downtime or when its firewall is blocking Cloudflare’s requests
