"WebRep" and "Overall rating" insertion at Google's services

When “avast!WebRep”, the Web Reputation Plug-in of Firefox, is ON, I get two problems.

  • A) DIV tags with “WebRep” and “Overall Rating” strings was inserted automatically, when posted at GMail, Google Sites and/or Google+.
  • B) In Google Apps’ admin dashboard, an error #503 occurs and couldn’t add or moderate user’s info.

(A) occurs irregularly but quite often, when using Google’s services for a period of time, and (B) occurs always.
Though, both could be quick-fixed by disabling the plug-in.

The questions are,

  • ONE) Are there any other ways rather than disabling “avast!WebRep” to prevent these problems so far
  • TWO) Will disabling the “WebRep”, effect the Web shield’s capability

I understood that disabling the plug-in was the simplest solution.

But if, the WebRep plug-in works just to tell us the web evaluation, I couldn’t understand the problem (B) above.

The Google’s 503 error, which is the request process error, means that somehow WebRep is blocking or changing the request data, therefore they couldn’t proceed.

So, this “Web Shield” like behavior of “WebRep” made me worry to turn it off.
