WebRep Incompatible with Hotspot Shield

I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1.

I believe I’ve discovered an incompatibility between the Internet Explorer Web Reputation add-on and Hotspot Shield.

After installing the new Avast 6.0.1000 including the WebRep add-on, IE would not run properly. However IE ran fine in no extension mode. Through trial and error – turning on one, turning off another, etc. – I’m convinced the WebRep add-on is incompatible with the IE Hotspot Shield add-on. (Hotspot Shield was not actually running at the time, and its services were turned off.)

Could you look into this, please? Thanks.

Luckily, Avast will be releasing their own type of secure browsing (VPN-like) utility soon.

Don’t know about the hotspot shield though, never used it. Maybe someone else will be able to chime in soon.
