Good time of the day!
7 months ago i’ve asked to add Opera Next in the list of supported browsers in the browser protection tab. The Opera Next was added. Later WebRep plugin for Opera has been released, but Opera Next isn’t detected till now(no browser plugin currently available). I’ve installed the plugin manually, but would be great to have an ability to install the plugin through the UI. Since it was easy to add Opera Next in the list of supported browsers, it will be easy to make it detectable by WebRep,won’t it?
Thanks in advance!
Opera Next was added because avast! BETA was being tested during that time and it was good time to test it. Otherwise, Opera Next is like a very early beta, nightly snapshots basically. You can’t expect them to keep track and update plugins for a nightly versions which can break things between releases.
You’ll only see plugins for final versions.
For Opera Next, you can install WebRep manually by goint to the avast! folder:
C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\WebRep\Opera
Drag file wrc.oex into the Opera window and it will ask you to install the plugin.
Thats how i used it in Opera Next versions and it worked perfectly fine.
Thanks for your answer. And as i’ve wrote i’ve already installed the plugin like you posted
But what is the goal of keeping Opera Next in the browser protection tab then?
