Except that no, you haven’t. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, safe mode reboots, system, restores, the works. I cannot sign in to the application. Every time I try to, it generates a popup with the following message:
We’ve opened your web browser for you to create a new account. When you’re done, we’ll bring you back here. If automatic sign-in fails, you can also enter the sign-in key from your browser.
Below that, there is a spinning/busy icon with the text “Waiting for you to create your account.”
The issue is that it is not opening a browser window. When I go to the avast page and sign into my account, there is no way to retrieve a sign-in key. When I follow the steps in FAQ, it directs me back to the app interface and begins the Groundhog Day loop all over again. I can’t sign in at all, and at this point I’d almost rather pay triple the price of premium here just for a service that is functional.
