It’s new virus on Facebook. Does avast! can protect us? Thx! ???
Can’t say for sure about Avast! detecting it right now today, but Koobface is not new, it has been around ~2 years.
Either way, if the method of infection is still the same, you should never catch it. Because you should never believe when a site tells you to “update your Flash” or “Install this Codec”.

Unfortunately, many people are lead to believe they truly need it. 
the version on facebook i keep seeing says that just by copy/pasting a certain status you can get it! LOL Just don’t follow links you’re not sure of, or open attachments/download thing that you don’t know are legit and you’ll be cool
