I did a full scan received these errors. The first one from my understanding is old Avast definitions. A second scan was done (Quick scan) and this was the result in scan 2.
My question on both scans is what should I do with these. Delete? do nothing or what?
In the first picture, you correctly recognized that the files were old Avast VPS files. The expanded path probably looks something like C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\defs\12032302. The part before \defs\12032302 may be different depending on whether you clean installed or updated the program via the AvastUI, and the version of Windows you are on. What likely happened is during your scan that the VPS updated itself, and then the previous VPS folder ((\12032302) was deleted by Avast during it’s routine housekeeping. It no longer exists.
In the second picture, the archive is password protected. Since Avast has no way of knowing the password, it’s simply notifying you that it can’t scan the files inside. As long as the files are archived, they pose no threat. When extracted, the File System Shield will scan them. You remain protected.
the “can not find” error is usually gone if you reboot and scan again
and as said for the second, avast is just telling you it can not scan the files and the reason why
files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected
