what devices does a licence cover

Hi there

Apologies if this has been covered before. I have an Avast Internet Security Account with one device, which is about to expire. I also have the free version on my phone. I’m thinking of upgrading to a licence which covers 5 PCs. I had assumed I could use Avast on my mobile on one of those licences (ie four computers and one mobile device) but looking at various posts in the forums I now think I can’t do that? Or can I?

I hunted around in the support data base but could not find anything obvious that explains what devices are acceptable on a licence.

Thank you!

To my knowledge, avast mobil is free … no license https://www.avast.com/mobile

avast https://www.avast.com/

Thank you for the reply!

I do have a free version - which keeps asking me to upgrade (for money of course) to get various other goodies. And various bits and pieces of it carry ads. So I was hoping there was some bundled version which would get rid of all that stuff.

Otherwise I might do the 3 licence PC version, and go back to Lookout as a mobile option. I was only really interested in Avast for my mobile if I could get it as part of the licence deal.

Currently the license is limited to the product you purchased, e.g. if you have the windows version of avast, then it only covers that.

There has been talk of the license being able to cover other avast products, such as Avast Mobile Security Pro (the paid android version).
How they are going to achieve this I don’t know as I thought android products had to go through the Google Play Store

As far as I’m aware the Avast Mobile Security Pro is good for use on 5 android mobile devices, so long as they use the same Google Play account.

I’m not sure, but this limit is far superior when using the same Google Play account.
