What happens when you start a "ticket" with Avast?

I have started a ticket with Avast’s tech support after my laptop was attacked by a new rogue “Virus Protection” virus. Essexboy’s suggestions are great, but I am afraid to try and run his fix without my computer being able to load the Window’s Repair Console, since I have no access to the internet (The bot has apparently disabled this).

I am freaking out here, and being that I paid for the Professional edition of Avast, are they ever going to get back to me? Or is there a way to send an email to them? Or, wow… dare I ask it? A Tech Support telephone number???
