I’ve been getting this virus in a file called dtran.exe
It’s seen by avast.
I’m running win xp pro.
What virus name is reported?
What is the location of the file? (full path)
According to pestcontrol (http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo\d\d-tran_trojan.asp) dtran.exe itself is a trojan
The path is C:\WINDOWS\walker\
The name is Win32 Trojan-Gen (upx!)
So I assume you can just move the beast to the Virus Chest, that’s all there’s to do for now…
That is correct; however, it continues to return.
You can set the on-access scanner protection level to High (click the avast (a) ball tray icon to do this) - this way, the file will be detected immediately after saved to the HDD.
Yes, but it would be nice if there was a better way of dealing with it:)
