*** What the heck is this ? ***

See my attachments…

As soon as I press to open that thread where arrow is pointing, I get alarmed from avast! that some Troyan is in my Documents…Temporary folders…

Any info ?

Cheers !

P.S. It only happens when I try to open that particular thread…

When I try to open that thread I get this…

Can someone check what is this all about ?

Thanks in advance !

Holy Shit! I got hit to quick :o thank GOD! I still love my avast, I just went into that forum until I have read SZC report.

Now that what I call a hacker trojans Avast forum warning club!

Vlk ya better hurry and KILL that forum quick.

No, I don’t think something is wrong with that thread, but there is some suspicious link in very first post in that thread…

On the other hand, take a look how strange is that thread’s form… everything is shifted to far right without any visible reason… no huge attached pictures, nothing…

Just passed through the same thread. I’m right now using NOD32 until avast! 4.5 final is out (if i’ll be able to wait that long :stuck_out_tongue: ) and i didn’t get anything (settings are maxed out). But i’m using firefox…

4.5 is comming out on Saturday (tomorrow). That’s what Vlk announced in one of those threads…

Yeah i know. I was probably the first who noticed that thread :stuck_out_tongue:
Just tested with IE6 and NOD32 and nothing again. Strange…

The guy posted some strings which where parts of malware. That’s why Avast reacted. Igor has removed them.

Great quick and productive ! Alwil Software ;D

Then why can’t you wait till tomorrow ??? Too late for you ?

Cheers !

Um,read that thread again :stuck_out_tongue: . Thats the next weeks saturday (13th november) :stuck_out_tongue:

Erm, I’d suggest to reread the thread announcing avast 4.5
It will be released the next Saturday (13. 11.), not tomorrow… I hope you can stand another week

OK, Rejzor was faster…

I think that you need to read that thread again, I believe that it’s next Saturday (the 13th), not tomorrow. I made a comment about releasing software on the 13th.

Edit RejZor and Igor were faster, I must go on that speed typing course, or use more than two fingers ;D

I did this confusion, changing 13th November by tomorrow. Sorry.
What the hell is going on in this forum I receive the same alert >:( :frowning:

The malware/trojan/virus is still in that thead, avast goes crazy at me aswell, but only in IE (even with scripting and java disabled), but my firefox browser works fine, this just reasured me that Firefox is clearly the more security inhanced browser, i mean i have hardly touched the settings in firefox, i think this SP2 IE is a bit over rated.

Can’t the Moderators delete that infected post?

Thanks Igor and RejZor for that information, but again… I’m not the one who is impatient ;D That was RejZor, remember ? He said he can’t wait… I’m Ok with the fact that 4.5 is comming out on next Saturday, not tomorrow. I can wait, like always… even better, because now I know we will have enough time to update all those skins in avast! skins download section

I don’t have problems with that thread any more. Since someone (I guess it was Igor) “cleaned” it, everything is OK…

Cheers people !

Thanks Igor… I could not imagine that an antivirus forum was the origin of a virus :frowning:

Maybe it was someone’s intention in the first place… ??? Who knows what can happen these days… Maybe someone tried to show that avast! actually is spreading viruses or trojans, and it’s not that good in fighting against them…

But, I’ve noticed something wrong with that thread, so I alarmed everyone… better safe than sorry…

Well, I’d say it was rather scary than dangerous (and I believe it was not an intention). I think that the post contained only pieces of the malware code (not whole). Besides that, it was included as “text” in the page - i.e. there was no danger that the browser would execute the code anyhow.
