Since our little foray to the other forum this morning I noticed something on this forum.

Well when I clicked on my links this morning to avast I didn’t know what in heck happened. Couldn’t read a word of it…
I also noticed that the email notification heading has changed.
It used to look like this:
from avast!WEBforum
This morning the notifications have the following heading:
from Diskusní fóra ALWIL Software
I was also signed out this morning and had a problem signing back in.
An explanation from Alwil would be greatly appreciated.

I was also logged out, but no problems getting in. As soon as the forum/server not available or similar screen disappeared, I signed in. So I was here pretty close to the time the link was corrected.
I just want to make sure this is still the avast! support forum and not a surprise.
I had just installed an analogue clock from snapfiles,when Avast forum came up in Czech or something.I thought for a second they were related ;D
Well, I see my avatar and your smiling face, so I’m sure we are in the right place.
But an explaination would be nice along with the correction of the name. I wasn’t sure if I should click it or not at first.
If this is indeed a hijack, and a good one, then it would have included all the avatars… 
If it’s that good of a hijack, my hats off to them. They even where considerate enough to include all my messages and settings. ;D
Seriously though, if it was just a misplaced link on the server, you’d think the pages would have remained the same.
I just though the forums was down for maintenance, etc. and it redirected to the asw.cz forum, I also couldn’t even logon as my user name and password weren’t recognised in the other forum.
When I was eventually able to get in to the forums.avast.com, site the Home Page Title had changed.

So I wonder if the asw.cz forum has an English title ;D

Maybe now it does, last time I was there it wasn’t in english.

I sure an grateful to them, makes the whole being hacked seem less like an “oh crap… :o” moment 
But yea, im sure was just a mix up on the server, at first i just thought my ability to read had somehow gone but then released i could read the other tabs :

Now that i think about it, i saw that page popup that you posted psw (shortly before the whole redirect incident) but i thought i had clicked an ad or link from one of the sites i was on in another tab…

It was an exploit attempt, unfortunately one that avast! missed but you should be safe unless you were using an out of date version of IE.

Hey Tech, that’s the message I got right before I could get to the forum. Prior to that I was redirected to the czech forum. I just keep trying. As I also mentioned, I never had the other redirect.
Yes it would be nice to hear from someone up the ladder.

I thought the same. It seemed similar to the recent incident with Spyware Terminator forums.
