i wanna ask bout several things …

first y my cpu does not making its regular updating ?!
n shoe nothing …
is it bcuz that my cpu show local or no connectivity !

n when i downloaded the vpsupd …
it showed this error codes …

0x00000000

so what i can do ?!

plz help !

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • What avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system? Did you have in the past?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?
  • Could you connect other websites or no one?

sorry man …

  • i m using windows service pack 3 … n its updated …
  • n the avast version is 4.8 (1229) … n the VSP # is 081107-0
  • n i m using the widows firewall only …
  • i dont have any other antis … n in the past i had avg antivirus … ( for some time avast was updating normally ) !
  • no …
  • i can connect 2 all webs even avast web … ( but when i try to do update manually … it just shows the sand clock for moments in nothing happen ! )

Two things jump out at me: 1) you are not using the latest version of Avast! The current version is 4.8.1296, this could be causing part of your problem…

Second; how did you remove AVG from your computer? To completely remove AVG is a multi-step process and I’m sure one of the gurus here can provide you with that information… :)[/i]

Update your program to 4.8.1296 and your vps to 081224-0

AVG Remover download here: http://www.grisoft.com/ww.download-tools

Also check your system time and date.

4 the things that jumped out of u ! 1) i know that i dont have the latest version bcuz my avast! dont make update n thats the problem !
2) i made the step … but nothing happened ! …

FYI; it has been my experience that if an update, due to a connectivity problem is encountered, you’ll see a ‘red’ pop-up box as opposed to the ‘blue’ pop-up box that signifies and successful update… :)[/i]
